Abba’s Child
I heard a famous speaker Brennan Manning, a minister and recovered alcohol addict, speak at a conference once. These four sermons are a must to hear for those struggling with experiencing, understanding, and feeling God’s perfect love every day.
Are you spiritually convinced or unconvinced?
Brennan is known for his simple and profound spirituality which can be uttered in this phrase: “Abba I belong to you.” Please listen to him share his personal struggle with being Abba’s child.

Things to Consider:
- We cannot ever comprehend all that God is.
-
- Have you looked at the Bible and how God revealed Himself through Holy Scripture?
-
- We must experience God.
-
- Have you experienced His love, mercy, grace (a gift of salvation which we don’t deserve)?
-
- Better to be naked in truth than clothed in fantasy
-
- Do you believe that truth is absolute and eternal and that that truth give to you by God has more substance than that which humanity can produce?
-
- God’s love strips away all the falsehoods (pride, selfishness, lust) of humanity
-
- Have you been touched by God’s love?
-
- God loves you as you are not as you should be
-
- Do you believe God loves you despite your own short-comings?
-
- God is reliable and will never let you down
-
- Do you know about God’s promises in the Bible for you?
-
- The awareness of being loved means being able to live without any excuses
-
- Has God’s love freed you to being all that you can be for Him?
-
- The awareness of being loved moves us beyond our ego-selves (slavery to) occupation to marriage, lustful thoughts, legalism, need to change our own life before continuing.
-
- Has God’s love given you a reason to live for someone bigger than yourself?
-
- Your primary identity is not your job but “Abba’s child”.
-
- Does God being your Heavenly Father mean anything to you?
